I love rummaging around antique stores. There's always hidden treasures in glass cases and sparkly things in little boxes. If you're downtown Eau Claire, check out this store. Three floors of antiques!

On the main floor are lovely furniture pieces and unusual statues. Painted tables and lamps. I think my favorite items are on the second floor, though. Up there are old records and books. More furniture and costume jewelry. Little dolls and old cutlery.

Every once in a while, I shop here for gifts. My husband collects pocket knives and I was able to find two for him one Christmas. Very unique and fun.

I love looking for vintage jewelry pieces, too. Brooches are a sparkly addition to a winter coat or a dress. I'm always on the hunt for unique items -- and antique is one way to get that.

....the third floor might be the forgotten floor, but I seriously doubt I'll forget it. If you look carefully, you might find Henry up there. A full skeleton tucked around a little corner. Yes, I named him. It was a bit eerie.

Make sure you have enough time to shop. The Antique Emporium would be difficult in a quick visit. You might find a heritage furniture piece or something sparkly for yourself. Good luck!
