Carmike Cinema in Eau Claire, WI has 12 (yes, 12) movie theaters. I almost got lost in there once.

The thing I like about this movie theater, though, is it's location. Right next to Café Court in the Oakwood mall. You've got plenty to do if you get there early. Last time I took in a movie here, it was a good thing.

The 3-D movies are my new favorite excuse to go to the theater. We (my sweetie and two friends) got there early. There's just no telling with a 3-D movie -- could get crowded.

So, we bought tickets about an hour before the movie even started. Then, we grabbed an early supper at the Café Court. Totally easy and gave us all a chance to chat. Looking towards the movie theater, we could see that people were lining up quickly.

Since we had some time, Mari and I took off to do a little shopping. The guys went to Scheels, I'm sure. Mari and I ended up at Macy's. Didn't quite have time to buy anything before we headed back.

When we met the guys at the theater, we sailed right past the line with our tickets. Popcorn, soda, hunt down the right theater, and we were set.

One day we won't have to have the funky glasses for 3-D, but for now we looked like we had cheap Ray-ban knock-offs.

If you're going out with your friends for the evening, this Eau Claire movie theater might be for you. Get there a little early. Have some supper. Do a little shopping. It's fun.
