Wow. This could be a page all by itself. Some favorites of mine include Mexican, Italian, Chinese, American (steak!), and even ice cream.

My favorite restaurant for the area is Manny's Cocina. I love the décor and the food.... the stuffed scallops are the best I've had. The food is made fresh, and it shows.

Since we're talking faves -- if you drive about 5 minutes, you'll be able to go to a great little Italian restaurant called Taverna Grill. Affordable and delicious.

The family steak lover may want to check out either Grizzly's or Texas Roadhouse. The roadhouse tends to get a bit loudish (and full of peanuts).

After supper, head over to some great ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. It's Heidi approved.

Fun Stuff

As if shopping isn't fun enough...try Action City on Hwy 93. My son loves the laser tag and wears himself out with glee there. Next door to that is Chaos Waterpark. Around the corner is Dairy Queen. Can you ask for anything more?

Carmike Cinema at the mall has 12 movie screens. Check on-line to see if they've got 3D movies happening, but get there early. Eau Claire locals love movies.

A nearby coffee shop features lots of microbrews for sale. They've even had beer tastings -- that's fun!
