I think my husband's secret restaurant motto is 'Anything Barbecued'. He just loves good barbecued ribs. That's why we stopped here the other day. Can't resist the ribs.

Famous Dave's Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que actually started in Chicago, so they're 'almost local'. There's a large selection of 'Anything Barbecued' -- ribs, wings, baked potatoes, brisket. To top it off, they've got many flavors of barbecue sauces, so top it your way.

Walking into the restaurant, you'll notice that the walls are filled with interesting memorabilia. Old garage signs, pictures from magazines, and vintage advertisings.

An entire roll of paper towels adorns every table, so they know how messy you'll get already.

We sat down at a booth and it wasn't long before both Daryk and Jan Paul decided on a root beer. Then we just had to have an order of wings. Even though they're buffalo wings, they had a bit of smoky flavor to them. This could get addicting!

I ordered the catfish fingers -- which is what I have to order almost every time I come to Famous Dave's. Crunchy and spicy, they're unique to Famous Dave's and totally delicious.

Just about everything comes with a corn muffin and corn, so I added Wilbur beans to that. The beans have a little kick which I like.

The guys ordered barbecue ribs and were soon trying to manage the sauce -- it gets everywhere if you're not careful. The fries here are crispy, crinkle cut American fries. That's what the guys usually get.
