Milwaukee Burger CompanyOn a cool Wednesday evening in December, I walked into the Milwaukee Burger Company. The decor is uncluttered and open. It has a few TV's on the walls near the bar. Pretty standard.
Milwaukee Burger Company
The sign said 'Seat Yourself', and so I found a booth near the corner. Since it was my first time there, I lingered over the menu. If you stop into the MBC, do expect the bar atmosphere. Unlike some bars, though, there's plenty of seating. For the most part, their menus consist of burgers, Tex Mex, and the Friday Fish Fry. The waitress was pretty quick about getting my tap beer. The best thing to go with that? beer cheese soup. I've got to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a bit particular about cheese soup, and I'll definitely order it again at the Milwaukee Burger Company. I had ordered the mini cheddar burgers. It's a basket -- comes with fries. I was a bit surprised to see that the burgers themselves weren't exactly spilling over the sides of the bun. Mine were small. Tasty? Yes. The buns were toasted to crispy awesome-ness. My most favorite part? The fries! If you are ever stuck with the winter blues and miss the fair -- check out the Milwaukee Burger Company's hand-cut fries. Hot and crispy, I only wish that they had handed out vinegar and salt to go with them. It would have been icing on the cake. They've got more than a dozen specialty burgers which offer an interesting variety for the burger fan. They also carry Tex Mex which is a nice addition for variety. I had a tap beer, a cup of beer cheese soup, and the mini cheddar burgers for under $13. I would recommend Milwaukee Burger Co. for a good place to catch the game and a couple of beers, a casual date, or a place to stop with the family after a day of shopping. Keep in mind that liking burgers or Tex Mex is a requirement for eating here, and you'll be just fine. |
