Gotta Have Your Starbucks, Eau Claire?

My buddy Marvin has to have his Starbucks. Oh, he doesn't need to visit -- just buys their coffee and makes it at home. Nevertheless, I know that you love your coffee.

Starbucks Eau Claire has 2 locations. One is in the Shopko mall area. The other is right off Hastings -- perfect for your stop in before work.

Marilynn and I stopped into the one on Hastings. We were having a get together and mornings call for coffee. It's a good thing I got there early...

When I pulled in that morning, I had no problems finding a parking spot. By the time Marilynn got there, she had to wait. Yikes! Must have been everyone thinking the same thing that morning.

What I liked right off was the large windows, but more on that in a sec. There was a huge coffee menu. All I wanted was a 'regular' though.

No flavors, no cream, no diluting my perfect mug. After I passed over the muffins and other goodies, I took my mug to sit down.

So, yes, large windows. Makes it feel just a bit nicer to wake up to sunlight. I grabbed a spot on their large comfy chairs. Most of the seating is coffee shop tables -- little bistro tables and such. I, however, gravitate towards large and comfy -- voila! They have that, too.

If you're getting together with friends or are desperate for a cup of java on your way to work, you might find the local Starbucks in Eau Claire. Marilynn and I like it.
